Loukas is an accomplished General Manager and Director with over twenty years experience in the Cyprus retail market, during which time he has played an instrumental role in the operational leadership and management of various companies.

Loukas graduated with an MBA degree from the Cyprus International Institute of Management in 2004, and prior to that a Bachelors degree in Marketing in 2002. Whilst his academic background has been primarily marketing focused, Loukas possesses a diverse business and operational experience acquired through hands-on roles in purchasing, accounting, marketing, operations, sales and customer service. He has a collaborative management style and an international mindset, and has a proven record of success in implementing long and short term business strategy, and translating ideas into tangible actions.

Currently Loukas is the General Manager of MAS Supermarkets, the 4th biggest retailer in the Cyprus Market along with Metro and Papantoniou retail chains.

Loukas previous position was the General Manager of So Easy Stores Ltd, the biggest convenience store chain in Cyprus, with 44 stores at that point in time. He had overall responsibility for managing and directing the entire range of business operations of the company. He was originally employed as a Purchasing Manager in 2004, when the group had only 5 stores. He has worked his way up through various roles, first to Operations Manager, where he implemented a total re branding of the company, and created a marketing department where none had previously existed. He also succeeded in turning around the company’s performance from loss to break even within two years, and increased profitability every year thereafter. Loukas rose to Operations Director in 2011, where he presided over a period of expansion, and successfully kept the company trading through the 2012 financial crisis in Cyprus. He progressed to his role as Director and General Manager in 2013.
